Test Intelligensi Kolektif Indonesia (TIKI)
The "Test Intelligensi Kolektif Indonesia" (TIKI) for higher education, for which this is the manual, is one of a series of three test batteries for determining the level of intelligence. The norms were determined on representative samples on the island of Java.
-
The first test battery, TIKI-D (Dasar), is aimed at the final year of primary school (Sekolah Dasar – SD) and the first two years of junior secondary school (Sekolah Menengah Pertama – SMP). It is intended to be used for decisions concerning the nature and level of junior secondary education.
-
The second test battery, TIKI-M (Menengah), is intended for students at the end of junior secondary school and the first years of senior secondary school (Sekolah Menengah Atas – SMA). This test primarily serves to help determine to what extent students are capable of continuing their education at senior secondary school.
-
The third test series, TIKI-T (Tinggi), is intended for the highest grade of SMA and the beginning of higher education. It will principally be used for decisions regarding admission to university or other forms of tertiary education.
The development and validation of these test series took place within the framework of a test development project for Indonesia. Apart from the development of these three collectively administered tests, the project also included the construction and validation of an individual test, the Test Intelligensi Anak (TIA), a developmental test aimed at pupils in the first years of primary school.
